Rick Henkel is looking for a tool to compare directories. John Posada
mentions CheckIt FastMove from Smith Micro, but notes it doesn't do binary
compares.

You might try Directory Toolkit from Funduc software (www.funduc.com). It
provides a two pane window with a directory in each pane, and many options
for what to show--updated files, only files that aren't in both directories,
binary comparisons, etc.

No connection with the company, but I've been checking out the trial version
and been surprised by its capabilities. Great for doing backups! I've also
used the same company's Search And Replace for years...
