Many and varied are the questions we ask when we toil in the software
trenches. Although this list is a good one for questions intended to help us
get the upper hand when grappling with recalcitrant software, sometimes
nobody's around to answer your question. Wouldn't it be nice if you could
call tech. support for free? Well, here's the next best thing: an online
"natural language" query engine that hooks up to Microsoft's, Adobe's, and
Intuit's respective knowledge bases. The answers seem pretty sharp: my first
couple tries found exactly what I was looking for, something I've rarely
been able to achieve working directly with the developers' own sites.

Head over to http://www.freeanswers.com/ and try it yourself. No, I'm not
affiliated with these people, and I don't get anything for recommending
them. I just came across the reference in Woody's Office Watch
(www.woodsywatch.com), a free newsletter that anyone who works in Windows
should subscribe to, and felt like sharing the wealth.

accidents."-- Nathaniel Borenstein
