I've checked the archives, and apparently this hasn't been discussed in a
long time.

I'm a skilled indexer in FrameMaker, but a prospective client has a finished
manuscript and she wants me to create an index using a separate piece of
software.

Which is the best indexing software??? I'm willing to buy it right now (if
it isn't $200 or more). I have never indexed a book outside of Frame. But I
love indexing! This could be a happy sideline for me.

Thanks,
