Hi, John:

We've been using Visio Standard 5.0 (from just before Microsoft swallowed Visio) for all our SDK documentation, and have found it to be quite sufficient for our needs. We haven't even touched almost half of the stencils and templates in the standard package.

I would think that Visio 2002 has even more features (:::::::beating down the urge to make a joking aside about Microsoft "features":::::::::: ;-), so my .02 would be to get the standard package, especially since your group is just starting out with it.

Hi, guys...I may be getting involved in a project that will require
me purchasing Visio.

When I went to the Microsoft site, I saw they have two versions;
standard and profssional.

This question is directed to those who know the difference between
the two, from the standpoint of creating business process
documentation, can anyone tell me the difference between the two
(besides a couple of hundred dollars)? If I need to spend $450, I
will, but not if I can spend under $200 and get what I need.

Thanks
