FYI: Coders call themselves geeks. Similarly, Slashdot, the news-opinion site for developers, subtitles itself "News for Nerds." I've yet to meet a developer who was offended by either name. So, while your sensitivity is well-intentioned, it's misplaced.

(And for the record, despite using the term, I generally get on very well with developers).
