The enjoyment of a crossword puzzle is not dependent on
one's interest in the topic or theme used in the puzzle.
Knowing a great deal about the theme may or may not help
one enjoy or solve the puzzle. (The clues will be
deliberately vague and misleading to a person who relies
on domain knowledge to solve the puzzle.)
Applying puzzle-solving skills and techniques will yield
more satisfactory results than applying raw knowledge of
the theme.
Perhaps, Tech Writers whose subjects do not interest
them achieve satisfaction in their work/lives through
an analogous process
