Here in Denver (#5), I interpreted the original post similarly (although I
assumed it was what passes for Eastern Liberal Elite humor and let it slide
<g>). I thought Robert was saying that, to get the highest incomes, one had
to give up living in "enlightened" places like New York, Boston, and the
Left Coast and "suffer" among us hayseeds in "flyover country."
But, heck, what do I know? I haven't seen a copy of the New Yorker in years!
Excuse me, I have to drive my ess-you-vee back to the shack, chase the skunk
out from under the porch, and put some more corncobs in the outhouse.
