In my experience, if the information came from developers, it was
probably technical specifications. If it came from discussions with
the user, then it was a functional specification.
Unless I've been wrong for quite a while:
Functional Specs tell what it does/will do...what is its function?
Technical (or System) Specifications tell how it does it..
Guys...am I wrong?
