Speaking of compatibility issues down the road, the use of an 
exquisitely efficient tool with which none of the permanent staff 
is familiar presents problems to the employer: if the project 
involves a living document, does the employer want to be chained 
to the contractor for future updates, or suffer the extra expense 
of training current staff in the use of the magic tool? From the 
contractor's point of view, does she want to be yanked back to 
this employer at random, inconvenient intervals (which many conflict 
with scheduling of current contracts) to tweak the document?
