Just wanted to say thanks for your advice regarding
collecting unemployment benefits if I do in fact get
laid off.

I am W-2 through a consulting agency, so I think that
may make things easier for me.

I think the reason why I had some apprehension about
the idea of claiming unemployment is because I was
actually sued by a former employer when I filed for
benefits. Even though I had applied for more than 50
jobs, this former employer believed that I wasn't
trying hard enough to find work. During the hearing
process, my benefits were stopped, not to mention the
character slander I had to deal with at the hands of
this company...all because they didn't want to pay
benefits that had been taken from my paycheck.

Hopefully, I'll keep working and won't have to worry
about any of this.

Thanks again for the advice.

Regards,
Mike
