At a baseball game two years ago I started playing name that font to
identify the six or so fonts used on a t-shirt someone two rows up was
wearing. I was told I needed a life.
On paper or screen, I can also identify point size by eye, a trick that has
earned me annoyed looks. Worse was when I pointed out to a student employee
here that a period in his sentence was in the wrong font, plus it was bold.
And for strange typos of the week, yesterday I saw (in relation to hair
rollers) directions that stated to apply moose before using. Sounds a
little too woodsy for me.
