Fuzzy images? Maybe you aren't using the right process:

For printed docs:

I always photocopy my monitor screen (it is awkward
getting that sucker to the copier) and then glue the
photocopies onto my printed documents. Sure it takes
a few weeks to do, and some of the pages stick
together, but the results are worth it. Kinko's be
#*&@ed!

For online files:
Nothing could be easier: I scan the photocopies (see
above), and then save them as a series of bmp images.
I import the bmps into Illustrator, export as eps,
distill, copy the files into Word as OLE object, then
use the "Save as pdf" feature.

I never have fuzzy graphics :)
