They wouldn't give me a filing cabinet, so I kept all the old review docs
(with their SIGNED cover sheets) in a box under my desk (later in a shelf
behind me). I would hang on to these documents until after the next version
of the book was printed.
For example, if the review docs were for version 1.0, I would hang on to
them until the docs for version 2.0 were printed.
It sounds like overkill, but it really can save your butt.
"See this? This wrong instruction cost the client $1 000 000 and his first
born son! Who told you to write that?"
"Ummmmm... You did and I have the signed review copy to prove it. It looks
like you owe someone a first born son, buddy."
