In Japan, a job at one of the major manufacturers like Mitsubishi
means a job for life. Such companies now are scrambling -- spending
all kinds of money on training in an effort to retrain those employees
whose jobs are no longer in demand. It's a financial burden that only
the largest of companies could take on, but certainly interesting to
watch.
