You're dwelling on a term. Do yourself a favor and
stop. "Approval" has many meanings. You're taking it
as "she has the power to veto any info on these books,
without the knowledge to do so." Try looking at it
another way... "She will flag any errors that will
need to be fixed before the books go to our
customers."

She's not being put in place as a Holier Than Thou
figure, mandating style and content and delivery.
She's proofing the document for flaws. That's it.
Wouldn't it be nice to know that she might flag some
problem in your trademark info/legalese that may have
caused a problem it if were released? Or perhaps you
have a typo in there that no one else caught... "lick
OK" instead of "click OK" (I've seen this one several
times before.)
