Yesterday I had the task of uploading a 71-meg file
via an already overloaded link. Thinking to speed it
up I ran the file through WinZip. But it only
compressed it by 3%.

Eudora marked a message-in-progress telling a
co-worker about the useless zip file as "probably
offensive" (2 hot peppers).

Completely mystified, I scanned the message over and
over, wondering if, for instance, "megs" has some kind
of obscene meaning I'm too square to know. Changed it
to MB--still got the peppers. Finally a process of
elimination revealed that Eudora objects to the third
numeral in this line:

> only reduced the size 3%, from 71 MB to 69 MB. Not
enough to be

Now that's obsessive. If a human being noticed and
objected to things like that, s/he'd be a weirdo of
the first rank. The Prurient Puritan complex, I guess
you could call it.
