The Opportunity:
We Need Experienced Trainers (VOLUNTEER) !

Please join us in partnering with the Federal Emergency Management Agency
(FEMA) in developing a National/World Knowledge System for Civil Defense
and Homeland Security.

GKEC formed the *Volunteer Organization of Certified Knowledge Managers*
(VOCKM) as a 501(c)3 and a NVOAD (National Organization for Assistance
during Disasters) in compliance with FEMA. American Red Cross is an
example of a NVOAD. VOCKM has also joined the International Association of
Emergency Managers to collaborate with other emergency management
organizations worldwide.


Starting next week, VOCKM will be working with the Emergency Management
Agencies and cooperating with the American Red Cross in States, Counties,
and Local governments to develop a common protocol and set of instructions
about Anthrax. VOCKM is also developing an education program about Anthrax
to be delivered to public and private organizations via eLearning and
face-to-face.


VOCKM will be driving the development of American National Standards. Over
the next three months GKEC will be holding rapid development ANSI
standards meetings in order to rapidly design of the National Knowledge
System (Social and Technical). VOCKM is working with SAIC, Siemens,
Boeing, Cisco, Northwestern University, the US Navy, EDS, and many other
public and private organizations to expedite the standards process.

We need more volunteers!

-Certified and non-certified Knowledge Managers -Facilitators (We need
these now!!) -Trainers -Learning Specialists -eLearning Specialists -Help
Desk -Knowledge Engineers -Librarians -Record Managers -Document
Management -Organization Learning Specialists -Human Resource Developers
-And so on.
