I am so glad I got out of the recruiting business last year. I knew it was
going to hell. Just glad I saw that before the bottom dropped out. I know
of at least 5 other companies here in Portland that have closed their
doors and many others that are probably close to death. Its a terrible
business when the economy goes south.

Its also the last place to go if you're looking for a job. Very few if any
firms are using recruiters or agencies right now. There is no reason to.
Its an employer's market now. Why pay 20% or more in commissions when
there are flocks of people available directly.
