I respectfully disagree with this statement. I think those are certainly
sound reasons to become a technical writer. Why shouldn't someone choose
this (or any) career because they like the idea of making money, the idea of
steady work? That's what brought me here and I like to think I'm pretty good
at what I do. I'm not a writer in the novel burning inside sense, I'm a
technical writer. I figure out how something works and I tell people how to
use it. That's it. Technical writing is a fine job, a wonderful job even,
especially because I enjoy playing with techy mcdohichey stuff. :) Even
still, it's the good pay and steady work that keeps me here.

Dishaa: try technical writing, why not? If you like it and do well, you'll
make money. If not, you'll find a different career path... there are so many
out there. Best of luck!
