Computer security is trendy. Not an easy field, and unfortunately it has too
many "snake oil" peddlars, but there's quite a bit of demand and not enough
good people.

A good overview book, the one I'd recommend for anyone outside the field
is Schneier's "Secrets and Lies". Probably the best single book for people
in the field is Ross Anderson "Security Engineering". For ISBNs on these
