It's a great idea to include collaborative work in your portfolio along with
your solo stuff, for no other reason than it shows you work well with
others. Flexibility is a good thing. It's even better if you have a couple
of different types of collaborative work. Let's say on one project you were
only responsible for the images in one document, or another document where
you were the person who had to cajole others to get their work done and then
arrange the stuff from multiple sources into a coherent whole -- these show
that you can get tossed into a lot of different situations and still get the
job done.

A portfolio doesn't just show the quality of work, but also something about
yourself as a person.
