If you're worried about intimidating someone at an interview, what do you
think it would be like to work for someone who doesn't like tall women? Do
you really want to spend a third of your day (or more) working for someone
who's afraid of you and wants you to be something else? Wear the shoes you
like to wear (as long as they aren't 8" screaming purple clogs), and to
h*** with the results. If you're good, they'll hire you anyway, no matter
how tall or short you are. It's odd that women who are short learn to be
tough and talk tall, whereas women who are tall are generally taught to
slouch, wear low heels, and speak softly.
