In a previous moment of pontification, I wrote:

"There are rules to all the games in life. The most skillful players know
these rules inside out, and in some cases they find workarounds.

The least skillful players waste valuable time and energy worrying about
whether the rules are fair (here's a tip: they're not). Or they spin their
wheels, rebelling against rules that are not going to change."

I will now do something rare - I'll follow my own advice.

It is apparent that some people are screening resumes using criteria with
which I disagree, but about which they feel strongly. Fair enough. I was
already using styles in my resume, but now I'm going to go over it with a
fine-toothed style comb, to make sure my styles are both completely
fabulous and consistently applied.

Thanks to all for the insight this board provides!
