When I was a hiring manager, I once got a writer's resume from HR with a big
rectangle neatly scissored out of one corner. It seems the applicant had
included his picture, and HR hadn't bothered to photocopy the mutilated
piece before passing it along.
No, he didn't get the job, but that was based more on a poor match with our
requirements than on a butchered resume.
