I use mostly GIFs. Seems to cause less file bloat in the Word doc, and
they print nicely.
Also I can often reduce the number of colors to 16 on Windows-based screen
shots to further minimize the file size. FYI, these GIFs usually start out
as bitmaps, but I convert them.
Jpegs can get rather spotty (literally) due to their lossy nature, so I
don't use them much.
