Cayenne Woods is anticipating>> one interview is going to include testing,
which I've never done before, and wonder if any of you have any ideas what
may be in store for me? It may just be common sense, problems and solutions,
but would like to hear of any experience on this. I've worked with one other
TA and on my own, so while confident of my general knowledge I'm wary of any
gaps in more formal experience.<<
Ask.
The objective behind any test at or before a job interview ought to be a
more objective method of finding out how good you are at your job than an
interview or a casual inspection of your CV <stitch>. You should tell the
agency to find out for you what the tests will involve, how much time they
will take, and what is being measured.
(If they're pre-printed tests, obviously they *won't* tell you exactly what
type they use, since you could then use that information to find out what
the correct answers are, but they should tell you what's being measured by
the tests.)
If the company is on the level, they should have no objection to telling
you, if you're applying directly, or the agency, what they're trying to
measure by the tests. If they won't, it's not a test, it's a booby trap. You
might get through it, but you might as easily not.
