The answer really isn't arbitrary. Rather, it depends on what your in-house
documentation mgr has decided or your in-house style guide. "e-Business" and
"e-business" are both certified correct spellings: Definitely include the
hyphen. If there is no in-house standard spelling, and you must decide, if I
were you, I'd use "e-business" because it's the safest choice and the most
widespread in business use. And, I work at a Fortune 5 high-tech company and
they use "e-business."
