hour, or $10,712 annually.
LOTS of adults make less than $10 per hour in the US.
That's why I went into tech writing. I agree that 21K is a pretty crappy
salary for a tech writer, but it beats what I made driving a truck.
We're going through harder times than we're used to, but I know *I* won't
forget being truly poor, something I've never been since I started tech
writing.
Yeah, times are hard, but overall we've got it good. We have a skill that
can earn us a much more comfortable living than most, even at the low end
of the pay spectrum.
