Pardon me for the slow reply, but I'm on digest.

1. Internal guides
    Google          (which I don't count as a BOOK, but a damn good
reference)
    AP Style Guide
    Audubon Guide to Florida

2. Technical reference for AS/400 for financial software (documenting RPG,
Java, CL), science and history for kids, outdoor recreation guides,
outdoors, travel and environmental articles...

3. Owned both, have neither right now. Next one will be a dog.

Figured I'd throw in my 2 cents and say goodbye at the same time. This list
is a fabulous resource; I wish I'd known about it years before I started at
Fiserv, when I was a lone writer. However, I've put in my notice. (Anyone
need a job? Super doc team here.) I finally have myself financially set to
freelance full-time, focusing on what I love -- outdoor and travel writing
-- and with eight books already out on the market, I figure it's time to
make the career change. I have three more book contracts to fulfill this
year.  The disciplines learned as a tech writer apply well to all
nonfiction writing.  Thanks, y'all -- especially Eric and Deb for providing
this service.
