I've been doing lots of idea sharing with the developer I'm working
with. We are both interested in design and ideas and interesting,
thoughtful people. I send him a link to an interview with Alan Cooper,
he sends me a link to a Don Norman article. And so on.
Anyway, he sent me a link to http://designforcommunity.com/, which is
the site affiliated with the book *Design for Community* by Derek
Powazek. I have not read the book. There are lots of neat ideas,
articles, and discussions on the site. I absolutely love the way the
discussion threads are presented. By far the easiest I've seen.
I thought some might be interested given the recent metadiscussions of
this community. I suspect that there are also some ties to knowledge
management. After all, a true knowledge management culture has probably
got some sense of community to it, especially if there are mechanisms
for discussions and more immediate interactions.
