High concept: MAJOR space program/military initiative, saboteurs introduce
bug/virus in code that would cause the whole thing to blow up (insert major
city, planet, the sun, whatever). Intrepid young technical writer discovers
bug while doing last-minute checks for documentation--it's a race against
time to get the information to her SMEs so that the program can be saved!!

Of course, one of the saboteurs is another tech writer or SME, so she's
threatened/prevented from sharing her information in various ways until the
last possible minute...

Who plays intrepid writer? Janeane Garofalo. She looks like she ought to be
a TW.
Who plays me? Judy Davis. I just like Judy Davis, no particular reason
Mr. Plato? Jeremy Irons! He can foam at the mouth with the best of them...
Saboteur SME/TW? Steve Buscemi. He LOOKS like a geek gone bad. Or Julian
Sands if you want to go the sexy/menacing foreigner route.
Eric? Ewan MacGregor (shameless favor-currying).

....
