First of all, just as a point of information, we reserve "click"
for buttons, "select" for lists, and "choose" for menu options.

As for your real question, opinions vary. Some platforms
require a certain phrasing. I think #3 is awkward no
matter who you ask, but we would accept either "Choose
Save from the File menu..." or "Choose File -> Save..."
