Hi TWhirlers,
I haven't had time to read the full TECHWR-L digest this morning, but I
noticed the post from Kevin Christy "RE: Companies using DOS or Windows 3.1
", and thought I'd try to one-up him: My father runs a 25-person
manufacturing business which uses old Atari PCs on the manufacturing floor
(software for raw and finished inventory, job control, costing, CAD, etc.).
Besides not replacing something that works fine, the reason he got Atari
PCs was cost/benefit--apparently they were more popular in Europe than
here, and programmers there wrote or ported lots of software for the Atari
OS.
