It looks like you got your Acrobat conversion question answered, although
it looks like everyone mentioned the output-to-Postscript option and
not the RTF option.

You can save the PDF to RTF in Acrobat 5, then use a word processor to
convert the RTF to the level of Postscript or PDF that you want.



It also looks like you got your "1.2, 1.3, 1.4" question answered, at least
obliquely when Liz Goodwin mentioned PDF 1.2.

The base release levels of Acrobat track the version levels of PDF.
