TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Which brings us all back to the thread a few months back: When will there be
a TECHWR-L conference? If the STC Conference isn't the answer for everyone
on this list, then there may be some possibilities for a conference specific
to it.

STC have sessions that addressed technical topics?
Well, to start with:
- Because people might like a chance to hear about topics they're curious
about or only mildly interested in.
- Because more technical knowledge makes tech-writers more employable, and
helps them to do their jobs better.
- Because no specialty conference approaches technical subjects from the
particular viewpoint of writers.
- Because the writing and management topics are limited, and were exhausted
a long, long time ago.
- Because there's a demand (as this thread shows).
