I had a problem with Acrobat a while ago. It was
working and then it stopped; whenever I tried to
use it, it hung. Tried reinstalling -- nope. The
only solution was to uninstall, then edit the
registry to remove any references of it (because
uninstalling doesn't do what it's supposed to),
then reinstall.

When you get to the registry, search for "ado"
and "acro" -- the entries are really embedded,
so browsing won't work.
