Speaking as someone who's been a contractor for awhile now, I can
honestly give
you one piece of advice: Try to *always* keep the interview at the time
the
employer suggests. No matter what. I know that may be hard, but if
there's one
thing I've learned, it's that people, odd as it may be, are fairly
sensitive and
ego-centric. Thus, when a potential candidate rebuffs them, they tend to
put off
such people. I've been the brunt of that a couple times. I think it's a
power
thing. By *you* suggesting a time to meet for them, that shifts the
power to
you, which they don't want. They want to be perceived as being in charge
of
negotations. Anyway, just food for thought for next time, but do eat
this
morsel!
