For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. * Culture: A lot (you'd be surprised) of the threads on this list have an American perspective. E.g. employment law, office politics, education, job searching,
contract law, the economy, regional issues, language use, interview techniques, etc.
* Language: English is the lingua franca of this list (if not the official language?). Some may feel shy about their English.
* Geography: Most list activity is during the day, American time. Continental Europe is six hours ahead of EST. When I come to work in the morning most of
yesterday's threads have flared up and died down again (like this one, probably).
