Ditto for chips, which actually accounts for a large number of those Motorola layoffs.

Just want to point out that at least around here (Chicago area),
Telecommunications is "taking it in the shorts". Witness the layoffs at
Lucent, Tellabs, Motorola etc. I am sure there are more that I have
forgotten.
