Hi,

For anyone interested, the TECHWR-l web site now hosts an article on stress
management for technical communicators.

Thanks again to all who participated in the August 2001 Stress survey and
who contributed to this article.
This article is available in two parts on the TECHWR-L web site:
http://www.raycomm.com/techwhirl/employmentarticles/stresspart1.html

For those who don't recall, in August 2001 I posted a question to TECHWR-L
and Techshoret, asking TWs to indicate the five most prominent stressors in
their work environment and the strategies they used to cope. TECHWR-L
followed this up with a poll, asking TWs to rate their perceived level of
stress.
Part 1 of the article discusses these findings and the most common causes
of stress for TWs at work. Part 2 provides strategies for handling and
reducing work-related stress.

Regards,
