<All these job hunting stories prompted me to ask a question about fee-based
recruiters. Are they worth it? Have any of you used them with success?>

I don't know where you live, but this type of recruiter has been illegal in
our state (Washington) for 20 years or more. The last time I saw one was
over 25 years ago, when (as a young college student)I was offered a chance
for a job paying $500 a month if I just paid them $400 upfront. If I had
$400, I wouldn't have been there to begin with!
