Well, now, I should've complained about that one a long time ago. Thanks
much David! It will at least work when I'm starting tables from scratch.
I don't want to push my luck but do you have any ideas for when I'm
converting text to a table?

Set up a table with the characteristics you want--just a couple of rows
should do--and make it an Autotext entry.
