Dear listmembers,

Many thanks for your advice and recommendations.

I seem to have solved the problem by partly breaking up the headings at a
higher level and partly abandoning my view of the importance of a
hierarchical structure.

Although the software may be hierarchical, I take your word that the user
may not be disturbed that the documentation does not follow the same
hierarchy.

To answer a few direct questions:

Yes, the software is quite a bit more complicated than Adobe Photoshop, and
no, at a price of USD 47,000 each I wouldn't say that these products are
aimed to the general consumer market.
