I have some questions about tech writing contracts.
Any help is appreciated.

1. What is the current market rate for a contract tech
writer with 2+ years of experience?
This question is hard to answer without more details. In addition to the region, I'd ask:

- What have you done in those two years? Have you been a junior writer with relatively little initiative, or having you been working on your own, making your own decisions about content, review processes, and the like? In the second case, you would be justified in charging much more.

- What are the requirements of the job you're looking at? You shouldn't expect to be paid the same for (to giveone example) some light editing as for writing original material produced while supervising other writers and setting up procedures.
