Jeff Tanner wonders: <<I'm using Word 97 and Acrobat 5.0 and need to convert
hundreds of small Word docs into four huge PDFs.>>

First, check out the online help using the keywords "watched folders"; in
effect, Acrobat lets you designate a folder into which you can place
documents, and have the documents automatically processed by Acrobat into
PDF files. (To avoid slowing down your system, set Acrobat to process the
files over lunch or overnight.) Second, once you've produced all these
files, check the online help for instructions on how to merge files
("combining PDF files" or "inserting pages"). This should turn up all the
guidance you'll need.
