I think you'll get plenty of useful information on the
sentence from others on the list. I wanted to look at
something broader in your final question.
If you have access to some Java developers, you could
ask them if a wording change you want to make (for
good reason, IMHO <g>) will provide the appropriate
meaning. I suspect that a lot of the time we neglect
the obvious resource for asking questions about what
our intended audience will understand and how. I'm not
knocking using TECHWR-L for this purpose. One thing
you know for sure is that you'll get opinions back.
But, wherever possible, I don't think anything beats
face time with members of your intended audience. (Of
course, that isn't always possible, but I would like
to lift it up as a goal.)
