Dan slid into the soft, smooth water of the pool. He immediately
noticed that a fellow swimmer was regarding him.
He swam over to strike up a conversation. When she asked what he did,
he noticeably puffed up as he said in a tone much deeper than his usual
voice, "I'm a technical writer."
"A technical writer? Like, you write manuals?" she inquired.
"Not only do I write them, but I also provide all the screen captures,"
he began to explain.
"And those are?"
"I use the program SnagIt to provide pictures of the screen for my
training manuals. That way, I can provide the users an exact image of
what their screen is supposed to look like. And the features this program
has! SnagIt Studio - so you can mark up the images with text - or
numbered arrows if you want. And you can choose from so many inputs -
like Region, so you don't have a lot of junk you have to edit out - and
you can even capture things like scrolling menus! It's amazing. I use it
every day," he finished.
As they left to go get ice cream, she noticed that he donned a SnagIt
t-shirt. She murmered to herself, "I love a man who isn't afraid of
commitment."
