Hmmm, you're right.

I have signed any draconian non-disclosure agreements and have been subject
to security clearances. And although most of my employers would probably not
take my departing from the straight and narrow seriously, I would.

So you're right change "You" to "I", and rather than considering them
proscriptions just accept it as Cyrano would say, " ... my white plume."
