I'm not Andrew, but I think ISO-9000 certification is a crock. That is,
the idea ain't bad, of having a documented, repeatable process. But, you
can document crap, it adds to the cost of a product in an inappropriate
way, and it smacks of protectionism.
But, then, I've never worked in the insurance, medical, and
pharmacutical fields, eh.

I'm curious to hear what you think of ISO-9000 and the certification
process, especially if achieving certification is a contractual
requirement
for a manufacturing company to sell its product to the OEM market.
