Michael Collier asks: OK, so who is the technical writer -- the agoraphobe,
the enigmatic wife, or the husband?

The wife, I assume. She's described as a Dr. Frankenstein character who is
enigmatic, dazzling, cosmopolitan - "a whirlwind of life, charm, and
decadent extravagance".

That sounds like the typical technical writer from THIS list!

Jane Carnall
"Hearts and kidneys are tinkertoys! I'm talking about the central nervous
system!"
Apologies for the long additional sig: it is added automatically and outwith
my control. Home: hj -dot- carnall -at- virgin -dot- net
